Diaby has been hit by back to back injuries, he needs enough rest thogh i don’t see him regaining his form.
May 28, 2012 at 9:25 pm #7951Out of all the deadwood he’s the only one I’d keep – he’s actually a good player, could have been great by now, but one thing Wenger needs to do is not count him as an established team member – he’s less likely to sign a midfielder because he feels that Diaby and Wilshere are coming back from injuries and we’ll have decent depth once they’re playing but Diaby cannot be relied upon to stay fit, so I’d keep him but sign another qualiy midfielder – when Diaby gets his fitness the rotation will be a nice problem for us to have but if he keeps picking up injuries we’ll actually have the required cover to get through the season without being derailed.
Strength in depth has been an issue for us for a few years now, we’re competing with teams like City who have good enough squads to field two teams capable of winning trophies, modern football requires bigger squads packed with more quality.
May 30, 2012 at 4:21 pm #8083Significance of Diaby in the squad cannot be stated.
He might be injury prone. He doesn’t play alot. He demands a wage for nothing.
But when he plays , he plays with grit and skill, doesnt wastes passes.
Also his presence in the midfield never goes unseen. He is one of the players that should be kept and given a chance to win his position back.May 30, 2012 at 6:21 pm #8097Totally worth the wait. I have seen previous glimpses of the enigma, and he should could come good. Look at other players who very on the injury table for so long, inlcuding rosicky and even van persie has had many spells of injury. And look at them now, and how brilliantly they are doing. He is 26 years old and has alot left in him.
May 31, 2012 at 5:10 am #8213I really hope next year is the year he stays healthy. He is such a talent that he could change the team around. M’villa who?
May 31, 2012 at 9:05 pm #8272i think this Lad is not listening to the advice of the coach. A way should be design to calm himdown often and often..koz he’s a good player
July 1, 2012 at 7:23 pm #8665Should he stay or should he go??
August 8, 2012 at 12:39 pm #8968Wenger is obviously convinced Abou is a special talent, and you know what, Arsene has earned my trust. He stuck through injury woes with RVP and look what he ended up doing. Who know, maybe one day, hopefully soon, Diaby will help us lift a trophy.
August 8, 2012 at 3:02 pm #8972I remember one great game he played against Aston Villa but nothing else really stands out, Wenger obviously has a boner for him for some reason.
August 8, 2012 at 3:56 pm #8975I was remembering him as “next Viera”
let`s give him 1 more season…in the end of 2012-2013 season…if his raport doesn`t good,than sell him…
sometimes.just sometimes..I think we`ve been long enough to keep a player before they are being the deadwood…look denilson, chamakh,AA etc…
we should give them way out so that they didn`t become deadwood for us
Let`s Unity
gunners4everAugust 8, 2012 at 9:55 pm #8987For me he is a very fustrating player as there is alot of potential but lacks the step up……we should hold on and see this season as he can’t be blamed for the injury crisis he has had……but also he has to make the step up as the competition heats up with our new additions………wish him the best with the new season ahead…….
August 9, 2012 at 1:39 am #8996The signing of Cazorla is gonna make it hard for Diaby. But I trust in him
August 13, 2012 at 5:55 pm #9059Did a pretty good job against Koln.Good to see him back!
August 13, 2012 at 9:35 pm #9072I prefer playing him as a CAM rather than in positions of Song and Arteta
