Arsene Wenger has decided to start Theo Walcott up front in the vital Champions League home tie against Bayern Munich.
Laurent Koscielny is one of the two surprise inclusions, who has been passed fit to start and will partner Per Mertesacker in defence with Thomas Vermaelen restored to the fray but on the left in place of the cup-tied Nacho Monreal.
The other surprise inclusion is Aaron Ramsey who is likely to start on the right wing but will help out the midfield. The usual trio of Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla resume their rightful position in the heart of the midfield with the pacey Theo Walcott spear heading the attack.
Lukas Podolski also starts on the left, while on the bench Wenger has options aplenty with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Abou Diaby, Tomas Rosicky and Olivier Giroud all potent options. It is interesting to note Gervinho fails to make the bench after a lackluster season from the Ivorian.
