Arsenal News: Sagna returns to full training after four months out
Gunners right back Bacary Sagna has revealed he has made his long awaited comeback to full training for the first team after spending four months on the sideline with a broken leg.
The French international suffered a nasty ankle break in Arsenal’s loss to Tottenham at White Hart Lane after falling awkwardly following an aerial challenge with Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
Sagna took to his twitter account to share his delight of finally making it back to training:
Hello my friends hope you’re all good and healthy…very exciting day for me as back to full training with the team for the 1st time.
Fellow defender and team mate Thomas Vermaelen also took to twitter to congratulate Sagna:
Congrats to my mate @Sagnaofficial for his 1st session with the team after months of injury! Saw some good free kicks from you!! Keep it going!
Finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Arsenal’s defensive injury woes, and the player that the Gunners need the most is Bacary Sagna who is solid and quick defensively but also is a real asset on attack too.
Thomas Vermaelen will still most likely fill in at leftback until Gibbs makes his return (I won’t hold my breathe), and hopefully Sagna will be available for selection for the Villa FA Cup match this weekend and start against Bolton next week.
In his absence the Gunners have had a troubled time filling the void at right-back with understudy Carl Jenkinson also out injured leaving Johan Djourou, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin to cover all stepping in to cover.

Johan Djourou should not be allowed anywhere near the bench, not even at training Nico Yennaris is 20 times a much better player than he is.

Am happy by is return to the squad but another problem is the attack which we don’t have anybody injured but not shape enough.I watched gervinho’s 1st n 2nd game for is country,he lost atleast 4 clear chances in each.we need new striker.

Bog be praised! Watching Man. U. have such free sailing down the left flank made me think we need him back.
